Howard Memorial Hospital’s Telemedicine Services Highlighted
Howard Memorial Hospital was featured at a recent FCC policy meeting for its telemedicine services. The hospital’s telemedicine experience was shared at the FCC summit held in San Jose, California. Attendees included: FCC Chairman Kevin Martin, FCC Commissioner Deborah Taylor Tate, as well as members of the Governor’s office. Ace Barash, M.D., along with a local patient and his mother, were also present through telemed technology. The telemedicine program connects HMH to specialists at UC Davis through a broadband network, allowing local physicians to see and consult with the specialists.
