Glendale Adventist Medical Center Becomes DSU Provider
Glendale Adventist Medical Center has become a designated Diagnostic Specialty Unit (DSU) provider via Glendale Adventist Alcohol and Drug Services (GAADS). GAADS and the hospital’s Behavioral Medicine – PHP and Psych East Unit recently became a designated DSU for ValueOptions, the nation’s largest independent behavioral health managed care company. The DSU program has identified the hospital as a facility that continually demonstrates excellence, success and quality in treating diagnosis-specific, complex psychiatric and/or chemical dependency disorders. ValueOptions will now be able to direct their members to the hospital to treat a variety of cases, including eating disorders, dual diagnosis (mental health issues combined with substance abuse) and other complex cases.
