Fike Named to Adventist Health Board of Directors
Ruthita Fike has been appointed to the Adventist Health Board of Directors, according to Chairman Jere D. Patzer, effective today. Fike replaces B. Lyn Behrens, recently retired president of Loma Linda University Adventist Health Sciences Center, who served on the Adventist Health Board for eight years.
“We are pleased that Ruthita has joined the Adventist Health Board,” stated Patzer, president of the North Pacific Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. “Ruthita is very familiar with Adventist health care and its mission, and will bring valuable insight and collaboration to our board of directors.”
Fike is the CEO of Loma Linda University Medical Center and Behavioral Medicine Center and EVP of Hospital Affairs for the Loma Linda University Adventist Health Sciences Center. Loma Linda University Medical Center (Medical Center, LLUMC) consists of four hospitals: Loma Linda University Adult Hospital, Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital, Loma Linda University East Campus Hospital, and Loma Linda University Behavioral Medicine Center. LLUMC is one of the largest and most comprehensive academic medical centers in the western United States, with 911 beds, a medical staff of 750 active members, 7,500 employees and an operating budget of approximately $1 billion. Previously, Fike served as the EVP of Operations and Support Services for Centura Health in Colorado and also was the CEO of Porter Adventist Hospital and Littleton Adventist Hospital, located in Denver.
