Feather River Hospital Debuts New CT Technology
Feather River Hospital has installed new state-of-the-art technology making it the first hospital in Butte County to feature a 64-Slice CT. The new equipment will be used primarily for cardiac patients and will provide clinicians with extremely detailed 3-D images of heart chambers and arteries. The CT also is very useful as a diagnostic tool for patients who seek medical treatment for chest pain as well as those who have failed a cardiac stress test. The non-invasive, painless procedure can sometimes take the place of an angiogram, which is a diagnostic test performed in a cath lab under local anesthesia.
