David Russell Appointed Vice President of Adventist Medical Center

David Russell has been named vice president for Business Development at Adventist Medical Center, according to Deryl Jones, president and CEO of the Portland, Oregon-based facility. In his new role, Russell will serve on the hospital’s Operations Council and Executive Council. In addition, he will identify and develop new business opportunities to enhance the services offered at the hospital and extend the facility’s services more fully into the community.

“The selection of David to this position concludes a lengthy nationwide search,” said Jones. “I’m pleased that we have been able to fill the position from within our own ranks and I am confident that David will bring a host of knowledge and abilities to his new role.”

Most recently, Russell worked at the hospital as the director of Contracting and Network Development for AMC and Healthcare Resources Northwest. He has a wealth of experience in health care administration, including roles as vice president of Finance and Ancillary Services.

Russell holds a master’s degree in Health Care Administration from Loma Linda University. He also is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
