Central Valley Network Appoints VP of Quality and Patient Safety

Diane Hoyt, RN, has been named vice president of Quality and Patient Safety for Adventist Health’s Central Valley Network, according to Rick Rawson, president and CEO of Central Valley General Hospital, Hanford Community Medical Center and Selma Community Hospital. Hoyt joins the Central Valley team from Adventist Health’s corporate office where she served as the director of Quality for the past 11 years.

With extensive experience in quality, clinical information systems and nursing, Hoyt will oversee the Organizational Performance department, including Accreditation and Regulation, Infection Prevention and Control, Patient Safety, Quality and Risk Management. She begins her new role in December.

In addition to her BSN, Hoyt is a certified Public Health Nurse, a certified professional in Healthcare Quality and served as a Senior California Award for Performance Excellence Examiner. She worked for 20 years in medical/surgical and obstetrics nursing, 10 years in CIS at the corporate office and Glendale Adventist Medical Center prior to becoming the corporate director of Quality. In that role, she led multiple projects that have improved quality and patient care throughout Adventist Health, such as IHI and patient experience initiatives, the Culture of Safety survey project and individual nursing department specific initiatives.
