Castle Medical Center Receives Prestigious Quality Awards
Castle Medical Center recently received an award from Mountain-Pacific Quality Health Foundation Hawaii. The hospital was presented with the Achievement of Excellence in Health Care Quality Award, which recognizes the facility as the top performing hospital in Hawaii for 2005-2008. The award is based on the hospital’s implementation and adherence to known best practices in the care of patients with heart attacks, pneumonia, heart failure and specific surgical procedures.
In addition, the hospital’s home care agency also was recognized by Mountain-Pacific Quality Health Foundation with an excellence award for “the most improved” in 2007 for acute care re-hospitalization.
