Adventist Health Premieres New Mission Film

Complete with Hollywood glamour, Adventist Health recently unveiled a new movie about mission and faith in health care at a red carpet event held at Adventist Medical Center in Portland, Oregon.

God’s Fingerprints is based on seven adapted stories from around the health system—woven together to showcase Sacred Work and Adventist Health's mission of sharing God's love by providing physical, mental and spiritual healing. It is intended to be a key component of the system’s mission education program.

"This is the first time Adventist Health has used a professional filmmaker, cast and crew for a project like this," said Paul Crampton, assistant vice president for Mission at Adventist Health. "When you watch the film, it's obvious that the actors were deeply impressed with the stories and felt a personal attachment with and pride in their performances."

The movie premiere was followed by an exclusive interview panel with the director, cast and crew. They described the inspiring nature of the film and what made the movie different from so many others they have worked on. In addition, the event featured scrumptious hor d’oeuvres and sparkling grape juice.

"We tried to illustrate the stories and let them tell themselves rather than the typical narration style of most corporate projects," said director Jason Satterlund of Big Puddle Films. "I think the result is a very powerful picture that really captures the essence of Adventist Health’s mission of healing."
