Adventist Health Hosts Physician Symposium
Adventist Health recently held is annual Physician Executive Leadership Symposium in Sacramento, California. The event, which drew approximately 150 attendees from across the health care system, featured several nationally recognized speakers that dealt with a variety of subjects from spirituality and health care to organizational excellence.
In addition, the first-ever Physician of the Year Mission Awards were presented to physicians from throughout Adventist Health who were chosen by their hospitals as exemplary health care providers because they embody the organization’s mission and focus on whole person care.
“The goal of this event was to bring together physician leaders (along with other key hospital administrators and staff) across our system and give them an opportunity to network, further develop their leadership skills, and learn more about current system initiatives,” stated Keith Doram, M.D., vice president and CMO of Adventist Health. “Providing the best, up-to-date care for our patients is a top priority and the engaged collaborative involvement of our physicians is vital as we seek to fulfill our Sacred Work and mission of Sharing God’s Love.”
