Adventist Health Hospitals Open State-of-the-Art Surgery Centers
Castle Medical Center recently debuted its new surgery center with a special blessing ceremony. The hospital’s $5.3 million Windward Surgery Center is housed on two floors in the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Medical Plaza and Wellness Center. The 9,000 square-foot area features two operating rooms, two endoscopy rooms, and waiting and recovery rooms. It will offer same-day surgery, screenings and other procedures in general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, urology and podiatry. The ambulatory center is a partnership between the hospital and a group of 15 Windward Oahu surgeons. It will be managed by Colorado-based Health Inventures and have a staff of 30.
In addition, Glendale Adventist Medical Center recently opened a new ambulatory surgery center featuring four state-of-the-art operating rooms and one procedure room. Located on the basement floor of the Lee Hughes Medical Building, the facility will allow improved patient access, faster turnaround and easier patient registration. A wide-range of procedures can be performed at the center, including general surgery, ENT, gynecology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, podiatry and urology.
